What does winter mean for you?

Posted on Dec 21st, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 21, 2008:

Winter is a time of regeneration, for the earth and for my life.  A time to slow down and take a look at the year ahead, to take my forthcoming worldly events into consideration and reassess the past. All while freezing and wishing it was summer again.

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 09, 2008:

More hours in the day and some time to relax. Things are stressful and hectic right now.. then there is the holidays on top of everything else. But I will pull through, I always do! :)

What have you been the most naive about?

Posted on Dec 8th, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 08, 2008:

The goodness and decency of human behavior. It wasn't until I met some bad apples and experienced first hand how nasty people can be that I came out of this naive state. Good thing I did though, or I would have been taken advantage of repeatedly.

What do you look forward to most about getting older?

Posted on Dec 5th, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 05, 2008:

Every day is a chance to grow wiser and stronger. Getting older is part of life and as we age, we can accept and embrace the journey taken. The thing I look forward to most about getting older is reflecting on my past. Any suffering, fear, or emotional loss is/was valid and deserves to be acknowledged and expressed in order to heal or transform the sacrifice. The future provides relief in completeness.

When do you most love coming home?

Posted on Dec 4th, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 04, 2008:

I always love to come home, home is where the heart is!
For me, visiting "home" at my parents' house in Florida is a real treat. My sister and her family all live down there and I always miss everyone so much, it is wonderful to see them when I can. My favorite times to come "home" to Florida is at a time during the year other than a holiday.. when I can just have a nice relaxing visit and enjoy everyone's company.

What do you believe about karma?

Posted on Dec 3rd, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 03, 2008:

I believe if you keep positive thoughts, then positive energy will surround you - which in turn often brings positive rewards. The same idea goes for negative thoughts. I believe in coincedences, however I am not sure if I belive in karma per se, as terrible things happen to good people all the time. And what about reverse karma? If something bad happens to a good person, do they get a 'karmic credit' to do something bad in the future? Or does the bad thing happen to them simply because they WILL do something bad in the future...  So I guess I do not believe in karma, because the workings of the universe could never be that straightforward.

What was the most difficult promise you made?

Posted on Dec 2nd, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 02, 2008:

I promised myself to master self-control to tame fears or impulses. This includes admitting when I'm wrong, not dignifying responses provoked by moral cowards, and repressing claws at empty threats. When resolve is tested, I draw on the courage of my true character from the more humble virtues of my natural instincts to maintain objective by composure.

Who is the youngest person you know?

Posted on Dec 1st, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 30, 2008:

That would be my nephew, Avery. He was the first baby born in 2008 (10 seconds after midnight) and will be turning 1 this new years day. It makes me sad that I do not get to see him much because I live on the other side of the country, but every moment I get to share with him I hold very dearly.

Who do you include in your family?

Posted on Nov 28th, 2008 by K : The Compassionate One K
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 28, 2008:

My family includes those who are instruments for responsible, passionate expansion that serves or protects the greater good of my legacy. As in all things truly worthwhile in life, love is an art - sketched and painted atop a canvas of mutual respect.
